Where are your class locations?
Throughout the Portland Oregon and Vancouver Washington area, held in hotel meeting rooms, set in classroom style. Please see the “Schedule and Registration” page.
How do I register for a class?
Register online with PayPal or credit card, or alternately print and mail the completed Registration Form with an enclosed check or money order. Note there is an additional $10 processing fee for PayPal or credit card.
Do I have to pay the full amount to register?
No you can send a deposit of $100 to reserve a seat in the course, and then pay the balance before the first day of the course. I will also work on payment plans for those who need an extended payment plan, however this option must be arranged in advance.
What book is used for the class?
As a participant you will receive RN Laurie’s NCLEX Review Core Curriculum
Workbook. It is also recommended that you purchase a book for Question and Answer practice.
What do I bring with me to class?
Please bring color pencils, pens, highlighters and sticky notes. Dress in layers and dress comfortably. You may want to bring slippers or warm fuzzy socks, or perhaps a blanket. Some also bring an extra cushion to put on the hotel chairs. Also bring a sack lunch, snacks, beverages, and anything else you will need for long days of learning.
I've signed up for your class, what can I do to for study in the mean time?
Answer as many test questions as you can. Answer a minimum of 100 questions per day. There are many Question and Answer books, find one and get started on answering questions. If you miss a question, review the rationale. I recommend the Davis Q and A book by K.Ohman. This book has thousands of questions as well as over 1,370 alternate format questions, and include great rationales for review.
What else should I do to prepare for my exam after your class?
Answer as many test questions as you can. The more practice with questions the better prepared you will be for the NCLEX RN exam. After the class, read through RN Laurie’s Core Curriculum using the study guide while answering questions. Know the areas that were highlighted during your course.
